All in the Details: Alexander McQueen
Let me swoon for a moment Alexander McQueen’s Pre-Fall looks. It’s all in the gorgeous details, and that I can appreciate. See more here at Vogue.
As we suffer through some cold weather, I thought i’d share this pretty editorial that exudes feelings of Spring from Martha Stewart’s February issue. Enjoy, the prettiness. Images by Jennifer Causey.
Chanel in Motion
There are a lot of Spring campaigns out there right now. But I was most attracted by Chanel’s Spring 2012 ad campaign that shows models in gymnastic like poses in black and white, which added that bit extra. Captured by Chanel’s own creative director, Karl Lagerfeld, these images were shot at the renewed Hotel du Cap Eden Roc.
Here is Chanel’s new campaign, shot by Karl Lagerfeld. Love the photo booth concept!
Black and White

Spring is here…well almost. In the meantime, feel the heat in these bright spring essentials from J.Crew.
Let it Sparkle
Go out with a little sparkle as 2011 ends and you ring in the New Year. Have a safe and fun weekend!
Not Just Another Winter Cabin
I am in love with this Winter ‘cabin’ owned by Aerin Lauder (grand daughter of Estee Lauder). The home was featured in Vogue. I love how clean and modern it is with slight accents that just want to make you hang out there all day long! Images shot by Francois Halard.
The New Traditional
I am not one for classic traditional interiors, they never look like you can actually live in them. But if this is the new traditional then I like it! Regardless, these images styled by Mike D. Sikes for House Beautiful are pretty gorgeous!
Another post about Louis Vuitton, only because I love their new campaign ‘Enchanted India,’ which in one of many in their travel series. I am glad to see the country I grew up in featured in this campaign so beautifully. The images were shot by renowned photographer, Carter Smith. Enjoy!
In a Land Far Far Away...
Love this vintage illustrated book that is a compilation of some of the Brothers Grimm Fairy Tales released on their 200th anniversary. The book brings to life some favorites - Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping beauty and Hansel and Gretel. This book can be enjoyed by adults and children alike, as it rekindles the magic of the Grimms’ tales!
I have been slightly obsessed with the current Louis Vuitton windows - entitled ‘Circus.’ They are fun, clever and pretty amazing. Take a behind the scenes look at the process here.
I Heart Warby Parker
I recently broke my glasses and I finally took this opportunity to buy a pair from this great brand- Warby Parker, who I have been eyeing for a few months (no pun intended). They offer great retro inspired glasses - all for $95 (with prescription!). One can order up to 5 pairs that they can try on at home or you can visit their showroom (one located in San...
J.Crew does a great job of their catalogs, and I have had so much going through their holiday ones - with all the bright colors and the cozy sweaters that I just had to share some fun pages from them. I am also trying to get motivated for some holiday shopping. Enjoy!
Nothing like a delicious Thanksgiving meal, but add to that a beautiful Thanksgiving table. I love this vegetable inspired editorial by Martha Stewart Magazine. I think it is the color palette and textures that I am in love with. This was photographed by Marcus Nilsson
I am in love - with this house. The color palette, the materials, I just want to live there. This beautiful house was featured in Elle Decoration’s November issue.
Rise to New Heights
Some delicious desserts rising to new heights, featured in Martha Stewart’s November issue. Take a bite out out of one of these yummy cakes or pies. Photographed by Johnny Miller.
Dolce & Gabbana
There is something about the new Dolce & Gabbana ads that I love from Fall/ Winter 2011 ! It probably are the clothes…a little sparkle… little lace and that little black dress!
The forgotten cheese as I would like to think of it. But not for Donna Hay magazine who did an editorial over Ricotta that featured delicious recipes and beautiful photographs by Anson Smart.
Came across this guide for NYC, by Sibella Court. I liked the craft like feeling of the pages, and the pull out MAP printed on craft paper that it comes with. It also provides a good deal of great spots to hit up in NYC.
When Zara launched their U.S. e-commerce site a few weeks back, they celebrated by curating with a series of 50 images each from our 50 states, taken by everyday people. Above are some of my favorites. Check out more here.
Fork and Spoon
I love antique silverware, it just adds that something special to any dinner party. Best place to find some, your local flea market or just ask where Grandma’s stash is.

I came across this site, Bellocq Tea, which is a tea atelier. There philosophy is to reinvent the tea business to bring it to the modern customer. The teas are beautiful, and the imagery matches it. Above are some images taken by photographer Anna Williams.
With Fall right around the corner, and collections for the season debuting online - I can’t help but love this shade of red. It all started with the J.Crew dress above, which I promptly ordered but there are so many more items that are just waiting to be coveted! Add a splash of this sophisticated color to your wardrobe…Top to bottom: J.Crew red dress,Anthropology pleated...

Local Eats: Locanda
Welcome to my new favorite Italian restaurant. I had big expectations, given that Locanda is also owned by the same restaurateurs as Delfina and Delfina Pizzeria, and it met them all! Locanda Location: 557 Valencia (at 16th St.) Reservations: Yes, and it is a popular place so place them way in advance. On My Menu To Start - Fried Artichoke, Carciofi Crudi - wild...
I love how cute these kids clothes are, simple but adorable. But I am posting this not because of how cute the clothes are but because such a great job was done styling these mini outfits. Check out more on this kids clothing brand’s site - Flora and Henri (cute clothes but a bit expensive for a little one!…maybe for those that can sew, this can provide a bit of inspiration...
Sleeping Under the Canopy
Above are various images I have collected over time. Sometimes I wish my small apartment was big enough to fit a canopy bed, but until then…I guess I can dream of such a pretty bed like second image above.
Get Ready for Fall
Some fun Fall pieces from none other than H&M. A few that I could see in my closet.
Baby & Child
Restoration Hardware opened their first Baby & Child store not too far north from San Francisco. The store was very impressive, makes me wish I was lucky enough to have a room like this as a child!
Color Me Flourescent
Not sure about this trend, I have seen it popping up…where traditional style rugs are being dyed flourescent colors. I guess it helps keep the room modern with a touch of tradition.
Parlez -Vous Louis Vuitton?
These images from Louis Vuitton’s Pre-Fall collection came out earlier this year, but I love the color and mood (not to mention the clothes) that they bring that it was worth revisiting here. A nod to the twenties and the thirties, these were shot at LVMH’s 57th Street Magic Room in New York.
Satisfy the Appetite
Nothing like a good meal and a great image of it. Photographer Tara Donne satisfies our appetite.
I decided to bake this lovely three day weekend, and took a key lime pie recipe and slightly altered it to make mini key-lime pies using a cup cake pan. Here is the recipe: CRUST: 1 1/2 cups finely ground honey graham cracker crumbs (double this if you want to make 24 minis, otherwise this makes 12) 1/4 cup white sugar 6 tablespoons butter, melted Directions: Mix...
Back Waters of Kerala
I am envious of Anthropologie’s latest shoot, which looks like it took place in the South of India. This is a destination that I have always wanted to visit, particularly renting a boat and going through the back waters of Kerala.
Odds and Ends
Odds and ends found on the society inc. Like these fun objects but love the presentation on them!
I adore this new site from an 18 year old culinary graduate - William Vale. Check out some more dishes at French Cuisse.
Get it Madewell
Summery neutral looks from Madewell! Above are my favorites. What’s even more exciting is that Madewell will be opening their first store in San Francisco in the late Summer.
I am on a new kick regarding everything linen - especially my bed linens. Above are images from a company called Libeco Lagae - based in a small village in Belgian. The artistry behind it makes it that much more special.
The things dreams are made of…well and vacations are made off. I end this week with dreaming that one day I’ll be heading off to Harbour Island in the Bahamas. Above are images of three vacation homes at Hibiscus Hill that one can rent in Harbour Island. There is the ‘Guest House.’ ‘Cricket Pavilion’ and...
Local Eats: Viks Chaat Corner
You have to travel to Berkeley for this yummy Indian food but you won’t be disappointed. I have spent many weekend lunches at Vik’s Chaat corner enjoying Indian street style food. Situated in a large ware house, this no frills place delivers the goodies. If you feel inspired you can stop by the Indian grocery store on your way out and make your very own meal at home. Vik’s...
I recently came across a New York based design studio - Studio NEWWORK and had to share some of their projects here. I love the simplicity of their work, which mostly focuses on fashion clients.
